Please join us for the March 28 Arts and Culture Roundtable for a presentation by Linda Noelker on the subject of Creativity in Aging; "Helping Older Adults Stay Healthy: The Benefits of Arts Participation."  Dr. Noelker has been doing research on aging for many years and her interest is in creativity and aging, more specifically, the scientific evidence of the health benefits of older adults participation in creative and performing arts programs.

Linda S. Noelker, Ph.D., is currently the Senior Vice President for Planning and Organizational Resources at the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging and Director of the Katz Policy Institute.  Dr. Noelker received her master’s and doctorate degrees from Case Western Reserve University where she is an Adjunct Professor of Sociology.  She has held leadership positions in the American Society on Aging and the Gerontological Society of America and is currently the board president of the National Center for Creative Aging.  Throughout her career, she has conducted research on a wide variety of topics in the field of aging, including family caregiving, home- and community-based services for older adults, the long term care workforce, and aging and the arts.  

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. The discussion will start at 8:30 a.m., including questions and discussion, and will end at 10 a.m. Visit www.riderta.com for public transportation.

We'll share these posts with the event moderator prior to the live discussion. The Arts and Culture Roundtable is a forum for representatives from the arts and culture community to come together and discuss common concerns and solutions.
