In addition to the Festival itself, we present several smaller events throughout the year to engage the film community, including networking events, discussion panels and our 48-Hour Film Challenge.
The Winter Film Awards Indie Film Festival gives emerging filmmakers the opportunity to screen their films in front of a large audience, some for the first time. In addition to prizes and community recognition, Winter Film Awards winners are able to enjoy the added credibility and acclamation that comes with being an award-winning filmmaker -- elements which can be integral to finding funding for future projects or attaining the ever-coveted distribution deal.
