The 2013 Women Composers Festival of Hartford presents the WCForum, a day-long conference on topics pertaining to women composers and their music. This academic forum includes four paper sessions of presentations and lecture-recitals, keynote speech by guest composer Dr. Hilary Tann, and a presentation of Vox Novus’ 60x60 Athena Mix.
The WCForum takes place Saturday, March 9, from 8:00AM to 6:00PM, in Wilde Auditorium at the University of Hartford. Registration for the conference is $20, $15 for students, which includes refreshments throughout the day. Tickets may be purchased in advance at EventBrite.

Women Composers Festival of Hartford
The Women Composers Festival of Hartford has, for the last sixteen years, provided an educational and entertaining platform for the promotion of women's music. Recognized for its advocacy and artistry by institutions such as the Greater Hartford Arts Council, the Amphion Foundation, New Music USA, Meet the Composer, the International Alliance for Women in Music, and the Women’s Education and Leadership Fund, the festival's goals include offering a rich alternative to mainstream classical music programming through the performance and discussion of new and historical music by women composers.
