Share 2013 UNO Accounting Speakers Series

Event Details

For our second annual Speakers Series event, we've invited Harold "Hal" Schroeder and James Brackens!

Hal Schroeder, CPA, is an FASB board member with over 30 years of diverse experience in investing and financial reporting as a money manager, senior portfolio manager, equity analyst, practicing CPA (with Ernst & Young), and EITF member.  He'll be speaking on "Politics, Economics and Other Trends Affecting Accountants and Investors."

James Brackens, CPA, is AICPA Vice President of Ethics and Practice Quality.  He provides leadership for the AICPA's ethics division and peer review program.  Jim managed his own CPA practice and has performed over 300 peer reviews of small accounting firms.  His topic for the day is "Ethics - Your Future Depends on It!"

A continental breakfast will be available before the speaker presentations begin, starting at 7:30.  Speaker presentations will begin at 8:30.

Regular tickets are $100 ($120 after September 6); students attend free. 

CPE credit: Two ethics and two accounting CPE credit hours approved by the Nebraska Board of Public Accountancy.
