Mark Joseph is a multi-media producer, author, and founder of MJM Entertainment Group. From 2000-2005 he worked in the areas of development and marketing for Walden Media and Crusader Entertainment and oversaw a 9-member faith-based marketing outreach team.
Mark is passionate about the intersection of film and pop culture. He is the producer of the feature film Reagan, a biopic of Ronald Reagan currently in pre-production. Previously he worked in the development and/or marketing of 25 films including Ray, Holes, I Am David, The Chronicles of Narnia, Facing The Giants, Because of Winn-Dixie, The Passion of The Christ, The Ultimate Gift, Expelled, Saving Sarah Cain and others. He won the Frank Capra award for his work as producer of the feature film Doonby. He also produced the rock soundtrack for The Passion of The Christ for which he received a GMA Music Award. In 2000 he founded the nation’s first faith-based short film festival, the Damah Film Festival and is currently the president of its board of directors.
Joseph is also a writer, having authored The Lion, The Professor & The Movies: Narnia’s Journey To The Big Screen, and two books which chronicle the creation of the Christian rock industry and the return of people of faith to popular music, The Rock & Roll Rebellion: Why People of Faith Abandoned Rock Music and Why They’re Coming Back, and Faith, God & Rock 'n' Roll. Joseph is also a regular contributor to The Huffington Post, Foxnews.com and the publisher of BullyPulpit.com. He lives in Southern California with his wife and five children.
