Event Details

The SFCDC Awards will acknowledge the outstanding achievement of community developers in Miami-Dade County. Great work is happening in our field, yet it and the people who do it are recognized too seldom. Help us shine a spotlight on the positive impact that dedicated people are making in our distressed neighborhoods.

The Awards (in five categories – Rental Housing, Homeownership, Economic Opportunity, Rising Star, and Leadership) will be presented at this cocktail reception in the developing arts and culturally enriched district of Little Haiti. Gourmet Hors d'oeuvres will be served along with beverages at the courtyard of the Cultural Center. Experience networking, a silent auction, and Live music and entertainment.

Our goals for this event are to reward impactful community development work in Miami-Dade; to inform the broader community of this work and its importance; and to encourage communication and partnership among community developers.

Please feel free to come adorned in Caribbean items in accordance with the theme of the evening!
