 Social Media/Social Networking, Risk Management, Art & Science of Power Negotiation and Lead Generation 101 are being offered both in the Morning and the Afternoon. This is to allow participants an opportunity to take these classes as well as other ones during the day.

*Short Sales, Foreclosure & Resource Certification is an all day course that is 6 hours in length broken down between 2 3-hour courses. The cost is $125 for the course. **Equator Certification course is offered in the afternoon and provides two different certifications REO and Short Sale Certifications ($474).

Description of Classes: 

Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource Certification, Instructor Sandee Schumann

Morning Class A & Afternoon Class H

This class teaches both the Buyers and Sellers aspects of the short process. For many real estate professionals, short sales and foreclosures are the new "traditional" real estate transaction. Knowing how to help sellers maneuver the complexities of short sales as well as help buyers pursue short sale and foreclosure opportunities are not merely good skills to have in today's market--they are critical.

And while short sales and foreclosures are not for the faint of heart, agents with the proper tools and training can use these specialty areas to build their business for the long term. This class is one of N.A.R.'s Certifications. To receive the SFR Certification, you must complete the one day core course and successfully pass the exam, as well as view three 1-hour Webinars (available free of charge), and submit completed application ($175 application fee). The one-day Short Sales and Foreclosures course is an approved elective for the N.A.R.'s Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designations, respectively."

Top Producer Secrets, Instructors Terry Watson & John Reyes, 3 hours

Morning Class B & Afternoon Class I

Terry Watson, instructor of over 1 million agents, shares his secrets on how to be a top producing agent using simple everyday methods. He will also talk about utilizing social media and social networking to maximize business. He has been inducted into the Buyers Agent Hall of Fame from the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council of NAR.


The 2nd part of the class will help realtors to navigate through the marketing essentials necessary for the business through the use of Social Media. This class will help with your I-PAD, learning how to create the right video and use of mobile technology for more leads.

Risk Management, Instructor C.A.R. Hotline attorney, Sanjay Wagle, 3 hours of CE

Morning Class C & Afternoon Class J

This course is designed to help minimize the chance of having a claim or lawsuit filed against you by following some simple Risk Management steps and by becoming educated in the areas which cause the greatest incidence of claims. The suggestions, education and advice presented can limit your liability and assist you with the handling of a claim if you are faced with one.

This course is Department of Real Estate accredited for 3 hours of Continuing Education (CE) in Consumer Protection. DRE Sponsor No. 0001

Art & Science of Power Negotiation, Instructor John Wenner, 1 hour

Morning Class D & Afternoon Class K

Learn how to handle negotiations in real estate. This class explores contract negotiations with both Buyers and Sellers as well negotiations via email and over the phone. This class will cover some of the topics that lead to a CNE designation including Persuasion Principles. Scientifically proven persuasion approaches that increase your success rate at influencing others; includes scripts for real estate negotiation situations that utilize these proven persuasion approaches. John, a real estate broker for over 19 years and a professional negotiator for over 25 years brings his wealth of knowledge, practical experience and training to this course.

Commercial 101, Instructor Joel Carlson, 2 hours

Morning Class E (this class follows Class D)

This course details the factors covering industrial and commercial properties. It will also cover evaluation of client needs, mechandising techniques, including exchange meetings and marketing sessions. Financing strategies for commercial and industrial properties.

Guide Homeowners to Credit Recovery, Instructor Nabil Captan, 1 hour

Morning Class G (this class follows Class G)

This is not a credit repair workshop, and there are no quick fixes here. In this session, you will learn how you can position yourself ahead of the curve by using accurate credit information as a tool to create current and future pipeline of well-informed and indebted clients, and by transforming tenants (including mortgage defaults victims) to would-be eligible homebuyers.

Legal update with Gov Hutchinson, Instructor Gov Hutchinson, 2 hours

Morning Class F

Legal update with Gov Hutchinson.  Learn everything you need to know to stay out of trouble from C.A.R. Member Legal Services. Gov will cover the latest information on new forms, new laws, new cases, new Regulations and current hot legal topics, to help you minimize legal exposure and give you a competitive edge in today’s market.
