Event Details

Saturday, May 4, 2013 is the Princess Ball ... This magical night highlights the positive relationships between father and daughter.  This year the A. Jones Family Foundation is hosting the Princess Ball and proceeds from this event will support the programs of Harbor House of Central Florida.

Held at the Rosen Shingle Creek, the event features entertainment from the Orlando Magic Dancers, Orlando Russian Ballet, pageant winners, along with food, silent auction, professional photography and, of course, many of the Princesses from our favorite fairy tale stories.

A major highlight of the evening is the elegant silent auction that features fine art and jewelry, theme park tickets, golf outings, spa retreats, weekend getaways, unique entertainment experiences and other exciting items.

Proceeds from this event go directly to support Harbor House of Central Florida. Harbor House's mission is to eliminate domestic violence in Central Florida by providing safety, shelter, counseling, education, legal advocacy and justice. Since opening its doors to survivors of domestic abuse in 1976, Harbor House has evolved into one of the most comprehensive intervention, prevention and advocacy agencies in the U.S. Its 110-bed shelter campus includes a 24-hour crisis hotline, children’s center, statecertified daycare and on-site pet kennel. Inaddition to safe shelter, Harbor House also prepares survivors for re-entry into the community by connecting them to resources that enable them to live safe, independent and productive lives.

As domestic violence rates increase in Central Florida, your support is critical. A Sponsorship Commitment will help achieve the goal of assisting families.

Making a Difference for Families

Mission:

Our mission is to do great things for the families around us while strengthening the love and bonds they have for one another.

Description:

Helping Kids - The A. Jones Family Foundation is committed to the future of children within this community. “How we care for children, protect their welfare, and prepare them for the future are some of the most important issues we face during our lifetime,” says John Edward Jones, A. Jones Family Foundation President. Over the years, the Jones family has assisted with hundreds of issues facing chi...ldren in the community and abroad. These issues have ranged from sponsoring local children’s shelters, feeding those in need and preparing some for missions work. This program area of the Foundation, focuses on two things: first, to heighten public awareness of children’s issues and the solutions to their problems; second, to help raise funds for select entities that dedicate their time and resources to teaching our young the selfless and rewarding behavior of giving back to the community around them.

Emergency Response - Emergencies can come in many forms. Whether it be an auto accident, natural disaster, illness or other injury no one should deal with it alone. That is why the A. Jones Family Foundation focuses on making people whole and getting them back on their feet. Whether it be through giving counsel, finances or contacts; we are here for you. The Foundation also acknowledges that an emergency affects those persons assisting us in recovering from the emergency. That is why the we also assist the men and women that put their lives on the line, and personal lives on hold, while serving as a police officer, fireman or EMT. If you, a family member or friend have experienced an emergency, we would be honored to help.

Pastor Appreciation - The A. Jones Family Foundation strongly supports their local church pastors and clergy. “The Jones family is a Christian family that relies on our faith in Jesus Christ to give us strength for each day,” says Carolyn M. Jones. “Although the relationship with Jesus is a personal one, the men and women that guide us in that journey should be thanked, prayed for and shown appreciation.” The A. Jones Family Foundation prays these functions will warm the souls of our Pastors and minister to them. If you too want to help thank your local pastors or clergy, please contact us via e-mail or phone.

Carolyn's Cause - Highlights the positive impact a long-term married couple can have on this community. Inspired by John & Carolyn Jones, their son and fellow Board Member, Andrew Jones, assists in orchestrating the Carolyn's Cause Dinner. The Dinner will feature a Christian couple from the community who exemplifies service while also focusing on their first priorties, God and marriage. In rememberence of Carolyn M. Jones, the Dinner raises money for adoption, but also gives a portion of the proceeds to the non-profit of the honoree's choice.
