Have you ever wondered how an acclaimed Swedish chef prepares his gravad lax? Or whips up the perfect bite of herring?
Now is your chance! You won't want to miss the Pathfinder Award dinner and reception on May 28th. You'll get the chance to learn a couple of culinary tricks to put up your sleeve while you sip on one of Pläj's signature cocktails (or something else from the open bar.)
We will be honoring Chef Roberth Sundell of Pläj, which has been added to the Chronicle’s list of Top 100 Bay Area Restaurants, for bringing the Scandinavian food revolution to a city which had thought that it knew everything there was to know about food.
The open bar cocktail reception will begin at 5:30. Hor d'oeuvres, inspired by Mr. Sundell, will be passed. Mr. Sundell will honor us with a cooking demo startin at 6:30. At 7:15, we will present him with the 2013 Pathfinder Award (made by our school's children).

The Stable Café had served as the carriage house for the San Francisco mayor in the 1870s, when there was plenty of water for horses in the nearby Mission Creek. In 2008, San Francisco architect Malcolm Davis meticulously remodeled
it into the gorgeous space that it is now- inside and out.
