Our popular 19 and Under Yound Performer Showcase series begins and this summer we are having a band-only qualifyer to kick off the series. Eight finalists will be performing to earn a spot in the 2013 Grand Finale event. All genres will be included in this talent packed event.The top three winners of the finale showcase will be awarded cash prizes to be utilized to continue their music training. Each band will perform two songs for evaluation by a judging panel.

p.o.p. ALERT is an award-winning female fronted pop/alternative rock band that has been recognized for their tight musicality, vocal power and show energy. They were the 2013 LimeLight Magazine "Breakthrough Artist of the Year" and have had been nominated for many video awards. Their broad palette of songs are suitable for all ages, and they cover the old classic rock tunes to current popular covers.
With a focus on supporting anti-bullying programs, they perform all over the region at anti-bullying programs and festivals. They have performed at dozens of top venues and events including the Hard Rock Café, Patriot Place, Gillette Stadium, the Scooper Bowl, Camplified, the Keene Pumpkin Festival, the Norwood Theatre as well as many events supporting national and local charities. They are also a member of the New England Dream Team for the Tunes-for-Tots national program which supports Make-A-Wish.
Dalton Cyr Bio
Award winning singer, songwriter, musician and recording artist Dalton Cyr is one of the hottest upcoming teen singing stars on the scene with fans in 149 countries around the world and more than 1.5 million views on YouTube.
Having written and recorded singles with multi-platinum music producer Paul Fox (10,000 Maniacs, REM, Rod Stewart, Ziggy Marley, Phish, XTX, Bjork, etc) and an all-star cast of musicians including Josh Freese (Sting, Guns-n-Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Devo, The Vandals, Dixie Chicks, etc.) and Aron Forbes (X-Factor band & Music Director for One Direction) in L.A. in April 2013, Cyr is currently working on his sophomore album. In April of 2013 Cyr was selected by international industry talent scouts as one of the twenty “most talented kids from around the world” and as one of the “most promising songwriters in the world” to attend Prodigy Camp, an international workshop run by award-winning director, writer, producer Rick Stevenson and other award-winning and active industry leaders. He is also the 2013 full scholarship recipient for The Prodigy Camp.
In 2012, Cyr released his debut 11 song album “I’ll Be There”, entirely written and co-written by Cyr. He followed the release with a six state tour to promote his album and support anti-bullying, joining former Radio Disney stars Celeste Kellogg and Tyler Layne and the Country Pop Rock Tour endorsed by famed producer Lee Hirsch & The Bully Project:1 Million Kids.
Performing live regularly he performs approximately 50 shows per year and has performed in front of audiences as large as 50,000 including singing the National Anthem at a Jacksonville Jaguar's game in 2012 and opening for Billboard artist Colt Ford on the Main Stage at the Clay County Fair in April 2013. He will tour the East Coast from Florida to New York in the summer of 2013.
Managed by Disney Channel Executive Producer Irene Dreayer and DW Management, his first ever-recorded single, written and recorded when he was just 10 years old, was a semi-finalist in the 2011 International Songwriting Competition, judged by the most high-profile judges in the world.
His music has appeared at the top of the charts internationally and can be heard in regular rotation on Internet radio. He’s appeared on NBC, ABC, & FOX TV, NPR Radio and multiple other radio programs across the country, and in the UK. We formed Music On & Up to bring performers together, provide them resources which will enhance their careers and branding, and be a resource for booking organizations. Our mission is to be a selected talent resource for talent placement organizations for shows, concerts, festivals, charity events and other venues. Young musicians will benefit from obtaining performance experience, building a resume and learning how best to present their talent.
