2013 Lawn Care & Water in Kansas

The entire series is $5. You can attend as many or as few of the classes as you want. All classes begin at 6:00 pm and will end by 7:30 pm. The classes will be held in the Sedgwick County Extension Office Sunflower Room.
April 2 - Low Maintenance Lawn Care
Learn the basics of lawn care and how to have a green lawn with the minimum of inputs. We will also explore some of the options for lawn grasses other than fescue and how to choose the right lawn for your needs.
April 9 - Dealing with Lawn Problems
This class will hit the highlights of problems we see in Kansas lawns, including weeds, insects, diseases, and other problems.
April 16 - Efficient Lawn Watering
Kay Drennen with the City of Wichita WATER Center will share the most recent information about efficient lawn watering. This class will cover knowing how much water your lawn needs, when to water, and more! Get tips on having a healthy, green lawn while keeping your water bill to a minimum.
