Event Details

Teaching artists – are you interested in building your skill set for working in the classroom?  In this experiential, full-day workshop, participants will explore how to strengthen their lesson planning, teaching practice, and classroom management through the application of Multiple Intelligences Theory, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and the Studio Habits of Mind. Participants will learn about childhood development and the role of the artist in a residence (including how to best work within the Common Core framework). This workshop is ideal for teaching artists who are seeking to build on previous ICI workshop training, as well as teaching artists who are interested in transitioning to work in the classroom. Participants will leave this workshop with new skills, strategies, and confidence.
