Event Details

Need Community Service hours for school or just want to get out and help clean up our communities? Join Vice Mayor Madison Nguyen on Saturday, April 20th from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Seven Trees Community Center, (3590 Cas Drive) for the 2013 Great American Litter Pick Up! Help make our city a safer and cleaner place to live. This is a citywide annual event hosted by Mayor Chuck Reed, Council District Offices, and the Anti-Litter department. Every year, hundreds of volunteers and community members come out to help pick up litter in our neighborhoods. By picking up litter in our city, we improve the environment while also contributing to the quality of life in our neighborhoods. To participate in this year's Litter Pick Up, please email us at district7@sanjoseca.gov. We hope to see you there! Litter clean up supplies--gloves, pick-up sticks, safety vests, trash, and recycling bags will be provided along with refreshments and free lunch provided by McDonalds for all volunteers.

No need to bring anything to the event, just comfortable cleanup clothing!
