This autumn, San Diego Permaculture Meetup is offering a local convergence hosted by Sky Mountain Institute and Permies Angelique and Gus Hartman. Join Permies in Escondido's Harmony Grove the second weekend in November to experience and learn about permaculture practices in the San Diego region.
Fall Convergence Website includes event schedule and speakers.
Of special note, this convergence offers learning in the classroom with hands-on workshop experience. Permaculture Design courses are both small scale (how to set up a grey water system for example) and large scale (how to construct a bio swale and a pond using a backhoe). Browse lecture and workshop descriptions to find many a topic of interest. San Diego Permies are gathering to share their knowledge at this convergence.
Permies are encouraged to bring their own canteens, chairs, hand tools (shovels, rakes, screw drivers, drills), work gloves, laptop computer, and sun protection. Anticipate that participation includes working outside.
- Order your bag lunch before November 6th. Alternatively, bring your own lunch. The location of the convergence is not adjacent to restaurants. It is recommended that participants order their lunch in advance for both Saturday and Sunday. Alternatively, participants can bring foods.
- Camping in Harmony Grove's spiritual community maybe available. San Diego Permaculture cannot coordinate camping reservations.
