Nicole Neditch - Online Engagement Manager | City of Oakland
Nicole is focused on engaging citizens to participate more in City Government through the use of innovative technology and strategic design. Her role as the City of Oakland’s Online Engagement Manager is the culmination of her years of experience as an artist, designer, programmer, arts administrator, community organizer, and entrepreneur. She is interested in harnessing the power of the strong creative and tech communities in Oakland, to help the City be more efficient, more transparent and more participatory.
Errol Schmall - Marketing & Communications Specialist | ACE Train
Errol assists in the Strategic Development & Communications at the Altamont Corridor Express. His overall goal is to expand communication efforts to the public and to dedicated riders by introducing new and innovative ways for them to stay connected to the agency. His experience in creative branding, targeted marketing, and communication enhancements has lead ACE to an upcoming new website and most critically a new logo with a modified name change. He and his team are dedicated to shifting marketing efforts from the train to the travelers experience with enticing marketing campaigns.
Cathy Selmi - Senior Systems Support Analyst | Marin County
Cathy is part of the web development group responsible for creating and maintaining the County’s Internet and Intranet sites. Over the past year, the web team has implemented a fresh, updated web presence for the County. Their efforts have produced a website that uses the latest technology to assist the County’s visitors with an improved search functionality, features that highlight local communities and the tools to present the latest County government news. The team is also actively involved in social media.
Scott Burns - CEO & co-Founder | GovDelivery
Scott Burns co-founded GovDelivery in a St. Paul basement and is the company's CEO. In 2006, Scott was recognized as one of five Emerging Leaders by Twin Cities Business Magazine and received the “Forty Under 40” recognition from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. In 2008, he was one of 25 people in the private sector to be named to Federal Computer Week's Federal 100, a list that recognizes individuals who significantly influence how federal government uses information technology. In 2011, Twin Cities Business Magazine named Scott one of “200 Minnesotans You Should Know”. Scott serves on the boards of the St. Paul Public Schools Foundation, the Friends of the St. Paul Libraries, the Executive Committee of the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce and loyalty marketing firm, Tecmark. Scott received a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in economics and environmental studies where he skied for Dartmouth’s NCAA Division I alpine ski team. He was born and raised in Duluth.
