Though a garden container has four sides, there are no bounds to the creativity of Lurvey Landscape Supply & Garden Center’s “Think inside the Box”display garden. Eight themed planters, including Touch of the Irish, Chicago Tropics, Soothing Waters, Last Summer and Let’s Eat – Chicago Style, will bring to life a whimsical combination of gardening and lifestyle trends.
Nothing stirs up images of Monet, Picasso, Renoir or other master painters like an artist’s palette. Stuifbergen Bloembollen Export and Home and Garden Supply have specially grown more than 1,000 hyacinths to create their colorful“Artist’s Palette” display. See how nature’s paintbrush can be dipped to make your flowerbeds flourish!
Growing Power’s “Art on the Farm” will explore the textures, layers, colors and forms of edible plants that can be aesthetically integrated into any garden. This mini-farmette will be brimming with early spring herbs and vegetables, while showcasing creative yet simple ways to add art and color to your garden.
This Is How We Do It
You’ll be planting, pruning and potting like a pro after a day at the show. Stop by the all-new “How to Garden” demonstration studio, presented by The Home Depot and Diet Coke, where you’ll discover tips of the trade through a wide range of daily how-to demos at the “Gardening Live Stage.” Hands-on gardening workshops led by Scotts and Oldcastle will teach you how to establish a healthy lawn, free of harmful weeds and insects, and offer creative ways to define your outdoor space with stone.
At the show, sign up for one of our popular make-and-take workshops where you’ll design and bring home your own masterpiece! You can roll up your sleeves and get inspired at one of our on-site “Potting Parties” or take a fascinating lab class to learn the fine art of floral arranging from the experts at the American Institute of Floral Design.
