Event Details

Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner, will visit UNC’s Department of Exercise and Sport Science on March 6, 2013. As part of his Chapel Hill visit, Mr. Goodell will deliver the 2013 Blyth Lecture in EXSS, named in honor of the late Dr. Carl Blyth, former Professor and Chair of Exercise and Sport Science. The event will take place at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center. Seating will begin at 11:15am and you must be seated by 12:00pm. The lecture will begin promptly at 12:15pm. Access to tickets will expire on February 28, 2013 at 4:00pm EST. Tickets must be printed and presented upon entry to the event.

Department of Exercise and Sport Science

Department of Exercise and Sport Science (EXSS) at UNC-Chapel Hill is an academic unit in the College of Arts and Sciences. It offers the Bachelor of Arts Degree and the Master of Arts Degree in Exercise and Sport Science, and a Doctoral Program in Human Movement Science. The doctoral program is an interdisciplinary curriculum between faculty from the Division of Physical Therapy in Allied Health Sciences, and Department of Exercise and Sport Science. In addition to these academic programs, the Department of EXSS administers the University’s Lifetime Fitness Program, a general education requirement for all undergraduate students; and serves the entire student body, faculty and staff through the joint administration of Campus Recreation with the Division of Student Affairs.

The mission of the Department of EXSS is to discover, create and promote knowledge of human movement to improve the quality of life of individuals and society.
