The Braden Bailess Memorial Golf Tournament began in 2006 as a way to remember the life of our son, Braden, while raising funds for charitable causes. Braden was an avid golfer at Westfield High School, joining the U. S. Marine Corp after graduation. He served in the 2nd LAR BN, 2nd Marine Division. Tragically, we lost Braden in an automobile accident in 2002.
This tournament benefits Birdies for the Brave, a program of PGA TOUR Charities, Inc. that is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by professional golfer Phil Mickelson. Birdies for the Brave is a military outreach initiative that supports the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families through distribution of funds to military supported charities recognized by the Department of Defense.
