This class prepares young children for the arrival of a new brother or sister. Children will talk about babies, learn what babies are able to do, see a film about becoming a big brother or a big sister, diaper and hold dolls, and tour The Baby Place. This sibling class is geared for a variety of ages. We often find the "older" children (10-11 yrs old) are great helpers for the younger children. Grandparents are welcome to attend.
What to bring: A favorite baby doll or teddy bear for diaper-changing session.
Florida Hospital Altamonte's Baby Place provides women with more birthing options within the safety of a hospital setting. It is the only maternity unit to offer amenities and choices within a hospital that are often found only in a birthing center. This allows women the opportunity to customize their birth experience, therefore giving them more power and involvement in the birthing process.
