This is the World Beatbox Association's 4th annual production of the "American Beatbox Championships". In years past we have had the most notorious talent in the world come by to compete, showcase and judge throughout the whole event. It has been the WBA's honor to have worked with some the most influential beatboxers on this planet, perhaps the universe. This particular day consists of an afternoon convention, including beatboxing and other variety, where the art of beatboxing is merged with the highest forms of musicianship, to prove that beatboxing is the ultimate musical instrument. A few of the many features this years show offers, are a cool club, nice variety, Chesney Snow, Hasan Salaam, Steve Foxx, Adam Matta, Baba Israel, Ty fingers (dancer extraordinaire), DJ BabyD, Akil Dasan, upcoming rap artists, open mics featuring great US beatboxers, also the 2013 Canadian team beatbox battle champions, the Java Mantra house band!, plus easily some of the best beatboxers in the country... easily! .... not to mention, a serious showdown between what the WBA thought were the most talented 16 beatboxing artists. Showcases will commence during the day, while we will see the competition begin no later than 6:15pm that evening. Enjoy a full bar, drink specials, and bottle service upon request, as well as the best music you can hear anywhere, Saturday, August 3rd, from 2pm-11pm, in New York City. Show is 18 + with ID. It is recommended you purchase and print your ticket online to ensure admission. Drom NYC and the WBA look foward to seeing everyone in the house.
The World Beatbox Association was set up in 2009 to bring a new level of cohesion to the global beatbox scene. So far, they have been very successful and are always striving to get to that next level of talent variety. They put on the best beatbox shows in the country. Created by Jim Wilde and Chesney Snow, the WBA brings this year's event under the direction of WBA veteran, Steve Foxx the beatboxxx.
