New Jersey Alumni Chapter of the North Carolina A&T State University Alumni Association, Inc
Welcome to the Aggie Nation! Since March 9, 1891, North Carolina A&T State University has strived to set a pattern of excellence in every area affecting mankind. Throughout the University’s long and distinguished history the world has been enriched by the thousands of men and women who matriculated to the University from the various hamlets, villages, towns, cities, states and other countries – all seeking a better sense of well-being for themselves, their families, their neighbors and their countrymen. The accomplishments of these graduates are immeasurable – with standouts ranging in the fields of business, finance, politics, arts and culture, agriculture, technology, entrepreneurship, athletics, engineering and civil rights just to name a few. The University’s graduates are well positioned to have a lasting influence over the confluences of life that will affect all future generations – education, health, safety, welfare and prosperity.
One of the missions of the North Carolina A&T State University Alumni Association, Inc. is to nurture a rich and dynamic relationship between the University and its Alumni. The New Jersey Alumni Chapter supports this mission by encouraging New Jersey students to continue their educational experience at A&T, one of the nation’s premiere institutions of higher learning. The NJ Chapter has therefore established its NEW JERSEY EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE TUITION SCHOLARSHIP (the “NEAT Scholarship”) that is open to all students currently attending A&T who have previously graduated from one of the state's Public or Private schools. Each year the chapter sets out to award the scholarship to four students upon demonstrating outstanding achievement in many areas of their lives, including school and community involvement as well as academic achievement. All proceeds thus raised from this event are dedicated to funding the NEAT Scholarship to financially assist New Jersey students who aspire to become part of the “Aggie fabric” by attending North Carolina A&T.
