Event Details

This is an advanced workshop focusing on the application of California’s accessibility regulations for 2014. The workshops build on the basic building blocks of barrier-free design and introduce the new 2013 building code and reorganization of Chapter 11B.  Topics include scoping of alterations, toiletroom design, prioritization of exterior improvements, adaptive verse accessible living spaces, and much more.  As a group we will resolve complex scoping scenarios and unravel technical provisions which will arise in the years to come. The program also offers helpful resources and tips on avoiding litigation.

The morning program focuses on public accommodations, with residential occupancies the subject of the afternoon program. Taken together, both programs total  5 hours of CEU’s in study of accessibility in the built environment. Please bring pencil and paper to takes notes and share ideas.
