Reboot, Recharge, Reconnect-
For the first time ever, the Northeast Region Volunteer Forum will be hosted virtually, with a goal of reaching as many 4-H volunteers and staff as possible, to learn, share, and re-energize with new ideas.
Through three evening webinars, volunteers will gather in local offices to hear from national experts, participate in group exercises, and learn from others while experiencing new technological advances. And, participants can still gain a bit of Vermont, taking advantage of our virtual auction site to bring home some maple syrup, Vermont made Darn Tough Socks, or even a Kindle Fire (ok, that's not made in Vermont but hey, it's still appealing!)
Be one of the first 100 to register and your name will be entered into a prize drawing for a $100 VISA cash card!
The sessions will run from 7:00-9:00 pm on October 29th, November 5th and November 12th. The webinar will begin promptly at 7:00 so please come early to get settled.
Webinar topics for each of the dates are:
October 29 will focus on managing a club with youth of all ages and diverse needs.
November 5 will focus on how to deal with difficult people and how to include the role of teen leader.
November 12 will focus in on parents, specifically how to handle challenging parents and how best to include them in 4-H programming.
More specifics, including workshop presenters, description and learning objectives can be found on our website

University of Vermont 4-H will be hosting an online, fundraising auction as part of the 2012 4-H Northeast Region Volunteer Forum. Using an online auction platform, we are looking forward to an exciting 3-week long fundraising event. Many Vermont businesses and friends of 4-H are lining up to donate products and services such as restaurant gift certificates, retail gift cards, all sorts of travel such as hotel stays, airline tickets and resort packages, gift baskets, electronics, spa & beauty items, and entertainment. Auction bidding will open on October 29th and close on November 12th. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to two Vermont non-profit organizations – the Vermont Food Bank and the Vermont Red Cross – to continue to provide relief to Vermont individuals whose lives were affected by the damage of Hurricane Irene.
Keep posted to the 2012 4-H Northeast Region Volunteer Forum website www.biddingforgood.com/NERVF. New items are being added every day!
