The day starts with continental breakfast and networking followed by the keynote presentation given by Geoffrey and Michael Howe of Howe and Howe Technologies (see sidebar for more information). After lunch the conference is broken out into two different topics. The first set of talks are about acquiring customers, from that 1st customer and beyond. The second set of talks are all about different types of capital (equity and debt) and how to choose between them, how to manage them, and how to get them. All of the speakers will be entrepreneurs talking about what they did with regards to acquiring customers, growing their customer base, and obtaining and using capital for their businesses.

Rick is a salesman and his bio could actually stop there, but over the years he's been able to use his sales abilities to grow his company, as well as his employers' companies. In 2006, he left the world of selling for himself and entered the world of helping others to sell for themselves. Always entrepreneurial, it was only natural that he gravitate to helping entrepreneurs, start-ups and small business owners get their first sale or reach the next level. As a sales consultant and coach, it wasn't unusual to see him working side by side with his clients making calls, at a trade show or handling a 'situation'. Rick claims that he's retired, but all that means is that he no longer works with hundreds of clients a year, but focuses his efforts on a few truly entrepreneurial business owners that want to grow sales exponentially by using social media and the 21st century sales process to attract new customers and convert them into evangelists.
Rick is the founder of http://therainmakermaker.com/ and can be found at @RainMakerMaker and http://www.linkedin.com/in/rickroberge.

Her grandmother started the first female run real estate brokerage in 1970's Massachusetts, her grandfather owned a local firearms shop, her mother ran a painting company. She founded Mahoney Internet Marketing in 2007 to coach entrepreneurs who are overwhelmed by the rapid changes of the internet to identify and connect with new prospects and their ideal customers. Since then, she has focused aligning sales and marketing together using both online and offline methods to improve customer experience and service that create brand evangelists and increase sales.
