The 2012 Christmas Community Celebration in Support of Toys for Tots is a community-driven event supported by the 100 Black Men of Madison, Inc. In lieu of admission fees, attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped gift worth $15 or more to donate to the United States Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program.
The event is from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at the Fitchburg Community Center in the Stoner Prairie Dining Room (lower level). Refreshments will be served.
About the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program
The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
The objectives of the program are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation's most valuable resources, our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

The Mission of the 100 Black Men of Madison, Inc. (the "100") is to improve the quality of life within our communities and enhance education and economic opportunities for all African Americans. The "100" seeks to serve as a beacon of leadership by utilizing our diverse talents to create environments where our children are motivated to achieve, and to empower our people to become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic and social fabric of the communities we serve.
The "100" is committed to the intellectual development of youth and the economic empowerment of the African American community, based on the following precepts: respect for family, spirituality, justice and integrity.
When & Where
100 Black Men of Madison, Inc.
100 Black Men of Madison, Inc. began its operation in 1994 and was incorporated in 1995 as a nonprofit organization comprised of members from many professional disciplines in the greater Madison area. The Madison chapter was established with the concept that it would make a positive difference in the lives of area youth, especially African American males, through mentoring, education, health and wellness, and economic development programs. 100 Black Men of Madison, Inc. is an affiliate of 100 Black Men of America, Inc.
Today, the members of 100 Black Men of Madison, Inc. are actively involved in the following projects: Mentoring, African American History Challenge Bowl, Back-to-school Picnic, Health and Wellness and Golf Outing.
The 100 Black Men of Madison organization has and will continue to be a positive voice for the community youth of color, especially African American males, and support academic achievement and reinforce social responsibility.
