The New York Asian Women's Center and YWCA present:

Out of the Darkness:

Confronting Domestic Violence in our Community

During National Crime Victims' Rights Week and National Sexual Assault Awareness Month

How far along have we come to stop domestic violence?  It still permeates the victims' family, social and work life and perpetuates abuse in our community.  What else do we need to do?

Join us on April 14th, 2011 to discuss:

* How domestic violence (DV) can turn deadly even when the survivor seeks assistance

* How a diverse array of agencies collectively address DV from different angles

* What is being done to prevent DV by both agencies and individuals
