Be part of MMRF history! Come to the kick off event for Eric Gelber as he ramps up for his 50+ hour run in September!
We are looking for 100 runners and walkers to join Eric on Thursday, August 14th in Central Park for a warm up 3.1 mile loop as we kick off registration for 200 Miles Towards a Cure to benefit the MMRF presented by Celgene.
Runners, walkers and myeloma patients will meet at Columbus Circle for a group picture and then proceed on a 3.1 loop in Central Park, all to be captured on video to help us generate excitement and media attention for Eric's Sept 19 - 21 200-mile ultra run. Pace groups will lead runners and walkers at various speeds. MMRF volunteers will guard personal belongings while you are in the Park.
Participants will then proceed to Academia Barilla Restaurant, 1290 Avenue of the Americas (corner of 51st & 6th Avenue) for a kick off event and pasta fest, sponsored by Celgene Corporation and Barilla Pasta, which will begin at 7:30 PM.
