Event Details

This week's tech talk will be presented by Pivot (at least for a few more days) Ben Woosley, who recently took a month-long sabbatical to work on his side project, VoteReports.org (http://votereports.org/).

His project has created relatively large DB tables, and he's patched up a number of github projects to help the site scale, including:

  • rsolr/sunspot
  • taps
  • sexy_pg_constraints
  • ar-extensions

He'll also be demoing VoteReports, and talking a bit about how technology can be used to effect social change.
