The Loew’s Jersey opened its polished brass doors on September 28, 1929. Journal Square, Jersey City. It was called “the most lavish temple of entertainment in New Jersey”.

Friends of the Loew's, Inc. is the non-profit, tax exempt corporation that first led the effort to save the Landmark Loew's Jersey Theatre from demolition, and now manages its operation and ongoing restoration as a mutli-discipline perfroming arts center serving our community & region.
