1st Annual 5K Fun Run & Walk for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity is hosting its 1st annual 5K Fun Run in the city of Amarillo, TX with all proceeds donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
People of all sizes and ages are welcome! FREE blood glucose and blood pressure screenings for diabetes and hypertension will be provided by Texas Tech Pharmacy students. They will also provide FREE consult for the results.
Online registration on this website will cost $15 + transaction fee. (A t-shirt will NO LONGER be provided) Credit card, check, and cash are available forms of payment (we will take check and cash on the day of the event).
On-site registration on the day of the event will cost $20 + transaction fee. Only check and cash will be accepted during on-site registration.
Free general parking will be provided in the grassy fields north of the park. Access is available from Parkside Drive. Signs and volunteers will point the way.
The race will start PROMPTLY at 8:00am on Saturday April 14. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to beat the crowds and give yourself enough time to sign in.
There will also be many awards and raffles!!
The route will compose of 2 laps shown in the picture below. Water will be distributed along the route. A soccer game will also take place on this day so please beware of spectators.
The JDRF is the leading global organization focused on Type 1 diabetes research. More than 80% of its expenditures go towards its mission.
