1NTERRUPT is a day-long, community-focused technology, creativity, and entrepreneurism. This is an opportunity for local high school (public and private) students to learn the concepts, see the technologies, and meet local and national professionals in cybersecurity, secure application development, and open-source hardware. A recent Cisco report estimated that the cybersecurity field is at a deficit of 1 million trained professionals, and with the seemingly endless anouncements of yet another security breach, cybersecurity, secure application development, and secure hardware development offer lucrative careers for those with the right skills.
1NTERRUPT is doesn't require existing computer skills, nor a fee; the only requirement is your curiousity. We'll take care of the rest.
Parents are not just welcome, but encouraged to attend to learn more about career opportunities, and to hear real-world thoughts from industry professionals directly, as well as during panels and speaker sessions during the day.
Certain ticket types are only available online, and all tickets are free for participants and parents.
