The 17th annual Passport "Wine" Weekend sponsored by the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance (CWA) will take place June 21 to 23, 2013. Calaveras County is located in the heart of California’s Gold Rush Country, one hour east of the Central Valley, two hours south of Sacramento and three hours east of the Bay Area.
Please join our 22 member wineries/ tasting rooms located throughout Calaveras County for a special weekend of gourmet foods, entertainment, special winery discounts and of course award winning Calaveras wines!
Wineries are open Saturday & Sunday 11am - 5pm.
Participants are issued a commemorative glass and “Passport” that is stamped at each of the wineries visited on Saturday and Sunday, and if completed, entered in drawings for some outstanding prizes.
All participants must be 21 years or older, designated drivers are encouraged to purchse a designated driver ticket and will receive non-alcoholic beverages. This unique event offers an ideal way for new area visitors to become familiar with Calaveras County wineries as each winery showcases their unique personalities and award winning wines.
Our Friday night Event "Taste the World of Calaveras" kicks off the weekend on June 21st from 6-8:30pm. With Angels Creek flowing beside oak-shaded picnic tables and the park’s iconic white gazebo, guests are invited to enter the world of Calaveras with wine varietals native to five regions – California, France, Italy, Rhone and Spain. Each region will have its own area proffering international culinary delights paired with wines made from grapes with origins in those locales.
When you purchase your ticket please indicate which location you would like to pick up your glass, based on the location drop down menu provided.
No "Saturday only" tickets are available.
