Get out your business cards! On November 13, 2013, we'll be hosting the 14th DukeGEN Multi-city Networking Event. The DukeGEN Networking Events provide a chance for entrepreneurial-minded Duke alumni to meet one another. They happen three times a year, and are voluntarily organized by Duke alumni, for Duke alumni, students, faculty and staff. Since 2008, we've held over 150 networking events with a cumulative total of 5000+ Duke attendees. You can read more about the last event here.
Hosts: Chandra Jacobs '04, Chris Wolfington '96, Jason Ethier '10, Michael Kurdziel '11, Greg Kunkel '04. Be sure to join the DukeGEN Boston LinkedIn group to receive all the latest DukeGEN Boston update!
In continuing with our successful startup culture event in August with an attendence of over 50 people, this event's guest speaker is Taylor Jacobson (Trinity '07), coach, speaker and co-founder at TeamPossible, which empowers personal fulfillment and global transformation through authentic enterprise. He'll lead a workshop called "The Real Reason Startups Fail & What You Can Learn From Oprah". Taylor co-hosts the forthcoming show TeamPossible TV, blogs at 21Switchbacks.com and has been featured in CNN, GQ and the Huffington Post. He graduated cum laude from Duke in 2007 with a B.S. in Economics and Public Policy Studies.
Important Note about Parking: Parking can be found on Google maps by going to 30 Dane street; visitors should look for signs for Winebow parking and Brooklyn Boulders parking. The building is actually below the parking deck, and our facility can be entered by going down the stairwell in the north corner (which has a sign for GTL)
