New research shows that Alzheimer's disease may be prevented, at least to a substantial degree, with changes to diet and lifestyle. Join us as Dr. Barnard returns to campus to shed light on what you can do to help lower your risk in developing Alzheimer's.
Neal Barnard, M.D., is the president and founder of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) and an adjunct associate professor of medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He has led several clinical trials investigating the effects of diet on health, including a recent study of dietary interventions in diabetes, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Barnard has authored of dozens of scientific publications as well as 15 books for lay readers. He received his M.D. degree at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his residency at the same institution and practiced at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York before returning to Washington to found PCRM in 1985.
