"Growing up with Hip-Hop, Dave started collecting records back in 2003. Always being a huge vinyl lover, he mostly played Electro and Electrofunk before falling in love with more obscure genres like Ghettotech, Booty House, Miami Bass, and Baltimore club music, or even Jazz and Blues.

Gathering more and more music with the years, he always liked to mash-up and blend different styles together, without taking himself too seriously. With his original mixing technique, he quickly acquired a solid reputation in his hometown and across the country, and he already had the opportunity to rock crowds all around the world, from Germany to China via Texas.

At the same time, he started producing his own tracks, often remixing huge Dirty South anthems into more dancefloor friendly hits. Because, yes, Dave is also a huge Southern Rap amateur. For a year or two, he focused mainly on producing soulful beats and remixes for underground Southern artists like G-Side, Zilla, Yellaman, GMane, Pepperboy and others, fusing Hip-Hop production techniques with more avant-garde sounds and textures.

His most recent tracks, call it Future Beats or whatever, have been praised all over the world, with some of his bootlegs being hosted in major radio shows and blogs, and being acknowledged by some of the biggest names in the industry. "Balance can be described as a master vibe setter. One could even call her a beat-barista, pressing hand crafted shots of rhythm and bass that bring listeners into movement. Her career began many years ago when a strong passion for hip hop and electronic music combined with a dangerous curiosity toward the art of mixing and ass shaking fused together. Her journey officially began in 2006 in Los Angeles, through Jam Master Jay's Scratch DJ Academy, where she learned how to utilize her turntables as an instrument. Today, at just five-foot-four and weighing in at the size of a sly tilted grin, Ms. Balance shakes dance floors when she steps on stage heavily strapped with an arsenal of future bass, hip hop, garage, house and a tremendous love for the People.

Balance is proud to be a resident DJ at one of the longest running BASS nights in San Francisco, Beat Church! She also spins a variety of music all over the Bay area, UT, TX, LA, MA, WA, OR. Balance is also one half of DJ/Production duo Diamond Crates (VNDMG vs. Balance), with 2 releases: Moanbeams, and Sid and Nancy (released on the Bicycle Day comp. for Euphonic Conceptions also ft. artists Random Rab, Kaminanda, Shpongle).
