9/3/14 - Unfortunately, the reunion has been canceled. If you would like to donate to the Class of 2015 Scholarship Fund, please do so above. Our committee has raised nearly $1,500 for the fund and while we are sad to have to cancel the reunion, we are excited to contribute to the continuing education of young Wildcats.


Join fellow Newport alumni from the late 90's for an amazing night of fun, nostalgia and reconnecting. The 2010 reunion was a great event, with more than 130 people in attendance, and we want this one to be even bigger and better! The event starts at 6 pm, with a social hour, followed by dinner and the reunion program. Stick around afterward for more socializing and dancing. The deadline to register is September 20, and alumni who register by August 31 September 7 are eligible for a discounted early bird price.

Q) Why is there a fee to register online?
A) Online registration services for paid events cost money and there are also credit card processing fees.

Q) Do I have to pay with a credit card?
A) No. If you prefer to avoid the online registration fee you can pay with a check. Please contact Melissa Newman at melissa.newman@yahoo.com for details about how to pay via check or cash.

Q) How much is it to attend?
A) If you purchase your ticket by August 31 September 7 you are eligible for an "early bird" price of $30 per person. After that date, tickets are $40 per person. The deadline to purchase a ticket is September 20. This is due to the fact that the venue requires guest counts in advance of the event.

Q) Is there a discount for couples?
A) No. Tickets are $30 per person early bird; $40 regular after the early bird deadline has passed.

Q) What is the dress code?
A) Cocktail attire is suggested, which means a suit or dress pants/nice shirt for men and cocktail dresses for women.

Q) The ticket cost is expensive and I cannot afford it. Why is it so high?
A) The simplest answer is that events just are not free. In the past, alumni have tried offering more affordable reunion-type events, such as picnics, potlucks and pub crawls, but with limited success. The planning committee opted for a more formal event, which of course comes at a cost, but made every effort to make the ticket as affordable as possible.

Q) Where do I park?
A) You can attempt to find street parking near the venue, or you can pay $5 to park in The Syndicate lot.

Q) Do I need to bring money to the event?
A) It is recommended that you bring cash to the event since there will be a cash bar and also raffles.

Q) Where does any extra money left over after the event go?
A) Any net proceeds available after event expenses are paid will be donated to Newport High School.

Q) I attended NHS but didn't graduate. Can I still attend the reunion?
A) Yes

Q) I attended/graduated from NHS from a different year than "late 90's". Can I still attend the reunion?
A) Yes

Q) What will be served for dinner?
A) The meal is an Italian buffet including various appetizers, spaghetti with meatballs and marinara sauce, pasta alfredo with chicken, vegetable medley, bread, and tossed garden salad. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are also included. If you prefer an adult beverage, a cash bar will be available.

Q) I registered but now cannot attend. Can I get a refund?
A) Unfortunately, no, tickets are non-refundable. Please consider this a contribution to your alma mater.

Q) When I register, I get a paper ticket from Eventbrite. Do I need to bring this to the event?
A) You can, but it is not necessary. We will have a registrant list available at check-in.
