The CUNY Institute for Virtual Enterprise (IVE), the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship, and IBM announce an inaugural SmartPitch Challenge to celebrate New York City as a center for innovation and new business development. The Challenge kicks-off on February 1, and is open to all current students from other New York City Colleges and Universities.
SmartPitch is the culmination of a Virtual Incubation process that invites student entrepreneurs to develop, pitch, validate and launch business ideas in a social networking environment by using IBM’s Smarter Cities as well as Mayor Bloomberg’s PlaNYC as organizing frameworks.
The best teams will be invited to present their concepts at the SmartPitch Event on June 6, 2013 and compete for $8,500 in prizes.
Please be sure to register for the Kick-off Challenge Event on February 1st, 2013 at 9:00am at Baruch College, The Newman Vertical Campus, 55 Lexington Avenue, Room 14-220 New York, NY 10010.
If you are unable to attend the kick-off but want further information about upcoming networking sessions and how to be part of the challenge, please register for the ticket listed as CANNOT ATTEND and someone from the CUNY IVE team will be in touch with you shortly.
We look forward to an exciting SmartPitch Challenge!
