Description

Chaired by The Economist's Editor-in-chief, John Micklethwait, the Buttonwood Gathering, named for the agreement that launched the New York Stock Exchange, will gather senior leaders in finance, investing and business, and feature on stage prominent investors and economists beside chief executives and chief financial officers from leading companies in America, Europe and emerging markets.

Join them as they examine the relationship between the state and finance today, including:

*How do government officials around the world, intend to reshape finance?
*Governments are beginning to recognise that they need business to drive growth, but how do they effectively define and manage that relationship?
*How is the relationship with the state in the developed and developing world advancing corporate goals?

The programme features variety of lively formats, from fireside chats to provocative debates to our keynote Bagehot lecture. Continental breakfast, sit down lunch and a networking cocktail reception included.

Note: Registered attendees will be able to receive an 80% refund up until one month before the event. Within one month of the conference, we will only be able to substitute another individual on the day of the event or provide credit for another event of similar value.
