This year we are having a Butterfly Dedication that involves the release of possibly hundreds of butterflies in the sky over Market Square in New Albany! The release will take place just before our runners and walkers begin their event. Butterflies can be purchased using the registration above for $10 each and can be dedicated in honor or memory of any one person or multiple people. Once you purchase your butterfly(ies), please send your dedication information to our butterfly contact, Carol Cohen, @firstname.lastname@example.org so that it can be included in our Butterfly Dedication activities.
Circle of Friends was founded in 1994 by three families whose lives were touched by cancer. Through hard work and dedication, Circle of Friends has raised nearly $1.5 million for pediatric cancer research. Our Mission is to fund research for the cure of pediatric cancers, while increasing awareness of the need to do so. Compassion and judicious stewardship are critical components in our efforts, as well as to celebrate those who have survived, support those engaged in their battle, and honor those who did not win their fight.
As one of the largest and most comprehensive pediatric hospitals and research institutes in the United States, Nationwide Children's is a resource and an advocate for children and parents in central Ohio and far beyond. Circle of Friends focuses on raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research at Nationwide Children's Hospital and are happily affiliated with the Nationwide Children's Hospital Foundation.
