Challenge Day's "Living the Change Workshop" is the next workshop after Being the Change Workshop. It is an advanced training for adults and young leaders who are committed to living a powerful life aligned with their unique purpose. Through fun, interactive, in-depth and safe experiential activities, we access more tools to create the lives, relationships and world of our dreams.

WHO ATTENDS LIVING THE CHANGE WORKSHOPS?
People of all backgrounds, ages 15 through 80, who have complete our Being the Change Workshop. Living the Change begins where Being the Change ends. The program's unique curriculum and design attracts people from diverse fields, socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientations, races, genders and cultures. Participants include those from business, teachers, parents, students, counselors, doctors, nurses, best-selling authors, race car drivers, Grammy award-winning musicians, and many others. Anyone ready to deepen their experience from Being the Change will benefit from our work.

Program Requirements

Community Workshops include a group process which requires full participation for maximum benefit. To ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants, we request that you agree to the following:

  • Attend our Being the Change Workshop (formally called "Next Step").
  • Take care of your well-being and make requests of staff as needed.
  • Participate fully and maintain an open heart and an open mind.
  • Stay on site during all sessions and lunch breaks (participants provide their own lunches).
  • Maintain confidentiality of all participants.
  • Complete homework/play assignments and activities.
  • Be present for the entire workshop.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early every day of the workshop. (Late arrivals or early departures cause distraction and call attention away from the group. To maintain the integrity of the group process, we request that you be especially mindful about time).
  • Be ready to start at 9:00 a.m. every day.
  • Honor start and end times of each break.
  • Be in integrity about workshop cost and/or be in communication about a payment arrangement prior to the workshop start date. For questions, contact Jenna.


Cancellation Policy

Full payment for the workshop is due August 1st. If you cancel after registering, a non-refundable deposit of $50 will be considered a donation to Challenge Day and if you cancel within a week of the first day, the full cost of the workshop will be considered a donation to Challenge Day. If a workshop is canceled by Challenge Day, all processed payments will be refunded, or applied to a future workshop within one year

Video and Photo Release

I hereby give my permission for the use and reproduction of video footage, voice recordings and/or photographs of me by Challenge Day for the purposes of training, promotion and/or marketing. I further understand, and consent herein that any materials may be utilized by Challenge Day for these purposes and may be put on web pages and/or social media. I do so willingly and with the knowledge that I will not receive any paid or unpaid compensation for this.


Challenge Day License Agreement

License Agreement in Plain English

The below license agreement is required to protect the creation and content of Challenge Day’s Materials, and to advise you of your rights for using it before, during and after the Workshop. We have summarized what that means in plain English and request that you read and sign this agreement as part of your participation in the Workshop.

  • As a participant in Challenge Day’s Workshops you will become aware of information that is owned by Challenge Day and/or Yvonne St. John-Dutra and Richard Dutra-St. John.
  • You may use the materials for personal use or educational purposes only.
  • You may not use the materials to create your own program or workshop or in any way that is for financial or material gain.
  • You are required to get prior written permission from the Executive Director of Challenge Day if you wish to use the materials in any way outside of personal use.


Full License Agreement

In connection with your review of certain proprietary information of CHALLENGE DAY, a California non-profit organization, (herein "Licensor"), we ask that you read and agree to the following conditions pursuant to the Licensor’s disclosure to you of such information.

Licensor grants to Participant whose name is listed below, (herein “Licensee”), on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, a non-exclusive right during participation in Community Workshops or Workshop events to use the "Challenge Day Materials" (described in Section 4 below) provided to Licensee by Licensor for Licensee's sole use. Licensor shall be the sole judge of whether or not Licensee has met or is meeting the standards required by Licensor. To the extent some or all of the materials are permitted to be taken home by Licensee, this License to use by Licensee extends for the life of the materials so long as the materials are used solely by and for Licensee. If additional use is desired by Licensee, permission for such additional use may be granted only if signed in writing by the Executive Director of Challenge Day. The License granted herein to Licensee is not assignable or transferable by Licensee at any time or in any manner. Licensee shall have no right to grant any sublicense.

Nothing herein is intended to prevent Licensee from telling others about the existence of the program, the general nature of the program, how the program is presented, the valuable lessons learned and similar information that may help to "spread the word" about the program. However, any use of Challenge Day Materials (other than Challenge Day Promotional materials) for any purpose other than personal use is not permitted without the prior written consent of Executive Director of Challenge Day.

Section 4: Challenge Day Materials
Licensee acknowledges the Challenge Day Materials are owned by Yvonne St. John-Dutra and Richard Dutra-St. John and Licensor (collectively "Owners") and acknowledge Owners’ exclusive right, title and interest in and to all Challenge Day Materials. The term "Challenge Day Materials" includes, but is not limited to, all Challenge Day registered and unregistered trademarks and service marks, all written materials (whether in draft or final) distributed to Licensee by Licensor whether or not a notice of copyright appears on the materials, all slogans, procedures, processes, logos, charts and other materials created by or on behalf of Licensor, and all of Licensor's regis­trations present and future with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and Copyright Office and all comparable offices in other countries. At no time will Licensee cause to be done any act or thing contesting or in any way impairing or tend­ing to impair all or some part of Owners' right, title and interest in and to the Challenge Day Materials. Licensee shall in no manner represent that it or any of its affiliates has any ownership rights or interests in any of the Challenge Day Materials, registrations or copyrights or applications therefore. Licensee acknowledges that the use of any and all of the Challenge Day Materials shall inure to the benefit of Owners. Licensee will at no time create, adopt or use, without Licensor's prior written consent, any word, mark, name, written materials, slogans, procedures, processes, charts and that like that is likely to be similar to or confused with any Challenge Day Material.

Challenge Day is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a $2.8M budget headquartered in Concord, California. The organization accomplishes its work with a dedicated team of 14 staff, 25 Challenge Day leaders, 14 board members and hundreds of volunteers.

Challenge Day currently serves nearly 100,000 students and adults annually in over 400 schools in the United States, Canada and Holland. Programs are delivered by highly-skilled program Leaders who model Challenge Day's values and participate in ongoing internal training and evaluation.
