Workshop II Presented by Ashitha Bhagwan, Attorney
Forming a company these days is easier than ever before. Keeping it alive and active, however, may present its own set of challenges. Due in part to advancing technology, a startup is able to achieve ‘global presence’ like never before. Ashitha Bhagwan, a business attorney with domestic and international experience, will address the top legal mistakes that startups should avoid.
Ashitha will discuss those legal strategies that every startup should be mindful of while entering the market with a product. These issues range from corporate structuring to securities compliance, option plans to equity issuances and IP strategy to labor laws. In a presentation geared towards entrepreneurs and small business owners, Ashitha will address those legal issues that entrepreneurs often fail to give due importance to and how to take corrective action, if any. As a small business owner in an ever-changing landscape, being aware of the potential consequences of these issues is imperative to day-to-day operations. Failing to adhere to a sound legal structure very often affects scalability. Learn about what to watch out for so you can be prepared!
