Nappywood Weekend 2014 celebrates Afro culture, natural hair, health, community economics and green sustainablity in Los Angeles. The weekend was developed by International Black Hairitage (IBH) as a part of the 2013 Evolution Tour and the inagural year of the Los Angeles Natural Hair Care Expo.
IBH created International Black Hairitage Month. Throughout the month of October we invite our global partners to celebrate the culture, history, health and economics of Black Hairitage. 2014 is the 4th annual celebration. Past events include an annual television special in Hamburg Germany. The International Black Hairitage Film Festival held at the Tricycle theater in London and many other events worldwide. www.internationalblackhairitagemonth.com Nappywood is now included to the international events produced by International Black Hairitrage.
The theme of 2014 will be announced soon; Join us for out first spontaneous gathering in Los Angeles on December 26 on the first day of Kwanzaa. The founder is Regina Kimbell, founder of Nappywood, International Black HAiriage Month and creator of award winning documentary film, My Nappy ROOTS.
Co organizer of the Los Angeles events is Gwen Allen with many years as a hair care distributor and sales, this beauty industry consultant is currently CEO of Gwen Allen Productions.
