MACCABI YOUNG LEADERSHIP NEW ORLEANS
Established in 1895, Maccabi World Union is the largest Jewish Sports movement in the world, with 450,000 members in 65 countries on 6 continents. Maccabi’s activities leverage sports as a means of creating Jewish and Israel related educational opportunities. Among Maccabi’s activities are Israel programs, holiday food parcel programs for Israeli’s poorest families, a youth scouting movement that works to support underprivileged and immigrant children, sports rehabilitation for victims of terror, Jewish programming for distressed communities worldwide, and a special "Maccabi Challenge" intensive Israel experience for Jewish youth with physical and developmental disabilities.
The purpose of the Maccabi World Union Young Leadership initiative is to raise funds for and increase the visibility of Maccabi's global initiatives. Members of our Young Leadership are exceptionally talented young professionals that have a passion for Israel, and for the mission of the Maccabi movement.
