Columbia SIPA, NYU Wagner, MFA Design for Social Innovation at SVA
The Fourth Annual Social Enterprise Bootcamp is a joint initiative of Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), NYU's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and the MFA Design for Social Innovation at the School of Visual Arts.
Bridge is a student and professional group at NYU's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service that seeks to connect students and professionals working and interested in social entrepreneurship and innovation. We believe that innovative solutions to entrenched social problems lie at the intersection of the public, private and non-profit sectors. We provide members opportunities to connect with students, academics and professionals in this space, learn about innovative approaches in the field through discussions and hands on experience, and develop professional skills that will help prepare them for a successful career in social innovation.
SIPA Net Impact focuses on building and supporting an active network of people at SIPA and the larger Columbia community who are interested and involved in Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability. We organize events including lectures, panels, discussion forums, workshops and brownbag lunches and drive curriculum development that furthers Net Impact-related fields as an area of academic focus at SIPA. We also provide networking and social events for members and support professional development activities including career fairs, and events with other Net Impact chapters.
The MFA in Design for Social Innovation at SVA NYC is the first MFA program for leaders who will use the power of design to solve human and business problems. Through experience-based learning, students from diverse backgrounds are immersed in the context, tools and skills of design for social innovation, fostering transformation at a systems level to create a resilient future for organizations and communities.
