Mata Amritanandamayi Math (M.A. Math)
Mata Amritanandamayi, lovingly known as Amma, is
revered throughout the world as an outstanding
humanitarian and spiritual leader. M.A. Math,
headquartered in Kerala, India, oversees a vast
network of charitable activities inspired by Amma's
life and example of selfless service. These activities
include programs in education, environment,
healthcare, indigenous rights, gender equality,
poverty eradication, and relief work, all dedicated to
creating a more just, equitable and sustainable
society. A new relief program is focused on
debt-ridden farm families in India who commit suicide
in large numbers. Underlying all of these projects is
the understanding that a deep relationship exists
