Harrell has over 10 years of experience in the fashion industry, beginning her career as a fashion stylist before opening Controversy Boutique just 6 years ago. Since that time, Controversy has become an anchor of the famous Auburn Avenue district serving not just fashion, but acting as an agency for some of the industry’s hottest styling stars. Harrell’s Controversy Boutique doubles as a stylist agency, housing talent that has worked with T.I., Pharell Williams and Janelle Monet, just to name a few. Controversy continues to expand as Harrell’s vision widens, offering classes and workshops to usher in the next generation of fashionistas.
