CEDC Center for Social Enterprise
African Diaspora Creative Industries is an initiative of the Center for Social Enterprise, a division of the non-profit 501c3 Community Economic Development Corporation (CEDC). African Diaspora Creative Industries is envisioned as "A U.S. Partnership Portal to the Creative Economy“ designed to promote creative industry business exchange and shared cultural experiences throughout the African Diaspora.
The Center for Social Enterprise serves as an intermediary providing capacity building technical assistance to non-profit organizations, government agencies and private businesses working to foster economic and housing development, business enterprise development, art and cultural experiences, educational advancement, equal access to healthcare and youth and social service delivery.
Working in partnership with scholars, financial institutions, government agencies, business executives and non-profit industry leaders, the Center uniquely cultivates environments to promote social innovation, implementation of best practices and next generation leadership development. One of the primary focuses of the Center is to assist non-profits in sustaining their operations through the development of non-related business income enterprises, real estate asset ownership, collaborative partnerships and contracted services.
