Living-Dance is an ongoing blog following the thoughts and experiences of Christina Ilisije as she navigates the industry and performs around the world with Parsons Dance. These reflections manifest physically in Ballet Blast, a modern-inspired ballet class open for dancers who wish to focus on uninhibited performance, fearless risk-taking, and full potential of movement.
Ballet barré readily incorporates a freely moving torso while simultaneously coordinating and articulating our lower limbs with acute precision. Center work consists of expansive movements, melding modern release swing of the limbs and extreme spiraling of the torso with balletic finesse and suppleness through series of sailing pirouettes and boundless jumps.
