CoffeeCON 2012

Kevin Sinnott started his coffee writing career with his newletter The Coffee Companion in the early 1990s and it became CoffeeCompanion.com. He has never gone to the dark side and sold coffee or coffee products. He's a consumer just like you, but he believes coffee, unlike wine, demands that consumers learn how to brew. He's written two books on the subject of coffee. His latest "The Art & Craft of Coffee" is are considered the definitive text on brewing and a best seller on Amazon.

He's toured various cities bring his home brewing message and brewing demos delivered with a comic twist. He's appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, 20/20, The Food Network, radio stations, newpapers and magazines.

His latest video coffee project is Mission Coffee Can, a reality webseries, that follows a group of college students as they learn the bean from field to market. This series was one of five finalists in 2011 International Broadcasting Conference in Amsterdam.

His DVD, Coffee Brewing Secrets, is a video how-to-brew guide taught by the nation's leading experts. This DVD is the basis for CoffeeCON, a consumer coffee university. "I realized we were all online discussing something we could not really fully compare without getting together", Sinnott says. "CoffeeCON brings us all together for perhaps the world's most delicious and aromatic event.
