LA Samba Kids
We are a non-profit multi-cultural arts; after school; at-risk youth program teaching drums, dance, and visual/media arts of Brazil. L.A. Samba Kids utilizes Brazilian performing arts as a tool for self-empowerment, cultivating critical consciousness, instilling confidence, skills, and alternatives to the violence and destructive behavior locally. Teaching the importance of community cohesion, while fostering a safe-environment after-school with movement, creative expression , and school-based performances.
The L.A. Samba Kids is best described as a Percussion Movement of the Millennium. This program creates a sense of community cohesion, allowing these kids to learn about Afro-Latin culture through music.
Our goal is to Educate, Enrich and Inspire the youth.
